Dogme Typography
Typographic experiment using strict rules and paper-based negative space to explore constraint-led design.
Inspired by Dogme 95, this project explores how strict rules can be used as a framework for typographic design. I developed a set of self-imposed constraints to guide the creation of letterforms, working mainly with paper-based negative space and collage techniques.
This process made it challenging to build clear letterforms within limitations, encouraging problem-solving and more considered design decisions. The project resulted in two A1 posters, turning the rules-led process into large typographic compositions that highlight structure and material exploration.
